Originally from Durham, but having spent a nearly equal number of years living in South Wales, Manchester and London, it’s hard to decipher my accent and determine where my ‘home’ is. But, they say home is where the heart is and the best way to a (wo)man’s heart is through his or her belly, so I’ve taken to baking cakes wherever I am. If I’m not baking cakes or cooking a top-notch meal, I’m trying out crazy classes at the gym so I can work off all the extra calories. If I can’t muster up the energy to go to the gym, you’ll find me trying to get ‘super star’ status on Sing Star – singing is a form of aerobic exercise don’t you know?!?

On this blog, I plan to post pictures and updates regarding my monthly bake sales in aid of Cancer Research UK. I'll include updates of the amount raised each month (and the lovely widget will keep a running total) and I'll try to convince colleagues to post reviews of my creations. I might possibly even share some recipes, hints and tips – although I’m not sure if I want to give that away!
